Michael Kimmel

Michael Scott Kimmel (* 1951) ist ein US-amerikanischer Soziologe. Sein Schwerpunktthema ist Männerforschung. Er arbeitet als Dozent an der Stony Brook University in New York und ist Herausgeber des Journals Men and Masculinities . Kimmel ist Sprecher der Vereinigung NOMAS (Nationale Organisation für Männer gegen Sexismus ). In seiner Forschung verfolgt er einen pro-feministischen Ansatz.
